Commanders Message January - February, 2012
Comrades, welcome to 2012.
We are facing a year of challenges. Some are local in nature, some are national in scope, and
some of the challenges we face are global.
For a moment, concentrate on just Phelan and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9415. First and
foremost we are facing a time when we have to consider that it is possible that one of our own
has become rogue, someone who does not have the best interest of our fraternal organization
at heart. We have twice been complained about to the county Health Department much to the
detriment of out morale and advancement. In both cases the complaints were found to be
invalid, but the harm is done.
We now must dedicate ourselves to the chores at hand. That chore is to put together the
resources to build our kitchen and not dwell on the negatives. We must not allow ourselves to
speculate as to who may be our nemesis, but rather move forward toward the realization of our
goals.
